Rayyan is creative problem-solving and entrepreneurial product manager and designer, operator, and venture capitalist leveraging best practices in UI/UX design, product development, marketing and strategy gained from my own entrepreneurial experiences and time spent at companies like Spotify, Beacon, 406 Ventures, Lazard, and Deloitte to drive lasting impact and value to technology startups and enterprises.

Rayyan began his career by taking to market the world’s first electronic hookah scaling it to global distribution and nearly $12M in annual revenue in just two years while in college. He’s also the first product manager and designer at venture-backed consumer startup, Pose, the instagram for fashion. After designing the end-to-end experience at Pose and fueled by his passion for building consumer facing experiences and products, Rayyan joined as one of Spotify's earliest product managers in New York focused on the Playlist and Discover Weekly features as well as user acquisition and growth. At Spotify, Rayyan lead his team's efforts to increase users within the college market by 30%. Previously, Rayyan spent time at Deloitte doing strategy consulting in their emerging markets practice. He also worked at Deloitte Corporate Finance doing middle market investment banking facilitating mergers and acquisitions and raising capital for clients in the alternative energy, real estate, fashion, healthcare, manufacturing and technology sectors. 

Rayyan co-founded AiroCorp, an artificial intelligence startup for the manufacturing sector in India, GranburyBrand, a leading mens accessories fashion brand, Digitzs, a fintech startup and HackWaco, a startup incubator in central Texas. After these experiences, Rayyan moved into venture capital to help other entrepreneurs build disruptive valuable companies at the early stage, first working with 406 Ventures and then to Romulus Capital. At Romulus Capital, Rayyan leads the firm's presence in NYC and leads all sourcing for new early stage investments for the firm. Most recently, Rayyan was the VP of Product for Beacon, the Netflix meets Uber for private jet travel (All-you-can-fly for $2k a month). At Beacon, Rayyan served as interim CTO, hiring a full team of engineers, designers, data analytics and marketing personnel.  In his free time, Rayyan enjoys adventure sports, soccer, hip-hop dancing, speaking engagements at tech conferences like SXSW and is currently working on getting his private pilot’s license. Rayyan loves to write and maintains an active blog with his work featured on the Huffington Post, Business Insider, AlleyWatch, Elite Daily and more.

Rayyan is particularly interested in innovation in consumer, software, energy, data, marketplaces, artificial intelligence and aerospace and enjoys helping grow startup communities anywhere he goes.

In his free time, Rayyan enjoys reading, writing, cooking and cheering on his Baylor Bears, Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.

Rayyan studied Economics and is a proud dropout of Baylor University.
